Each year, at our January AGM, committee members vote on the charity that will be supported by CYPG for the coming year. This year, our chosen charity is It Takes A City in Cambridge.
Who are It Takes A City?
It Takes a City (ITAC) is a small local charity working to put a stop to the cycle of poverty and homelessness in Cambridge, for good. Their projects provide safe spaces, support and opportunities – and by working together with charities, community groups, local authorities and businesses – they create lasting solutions.
ITAC directly deliver key services in the city:
- Survive and Thrive transitional support for both rough sleepers and those on a journey away from the street
- Crossways emergency winter accommodation project
- The Haven, a women-only overnight safe space.

Over the course of the year, money raised from CYPG events and the Autumn Ball will be donated to ITAC.
